Required Clearance Classes
Many of our workshop areas require clearance classes as a prerequisite for use. Use of the following equipment/areas require attending a clearance class before being able to attend the skill-building workshops.
- CNC Router
- CNC Embroidery Machine
- Woodworking Hand Power Tools (i.e. circular saw, router, air nailer, reciprocating saw, and jig saw)
- Large Woodworking Tools
- Laser Cutter
- Laser Rotary Accessory (Prerequisite: Laser Cutter Clearance)
- Pottery Studio
- Jewelry Station
- xTools Laser Cutter
Do I have to take training classes if I already know how to use the tools?
Unless you have extensive experience using a particular tool, you will still be required to take clearance classes in order to use that tool. If you do have extensive experience, you will be credited a clearance only after a review of our policies and a reduced fee.

Birthday Parties for Mini Makers
Want to give your mini maker (ages 2-12) a birthday they'll never forget? Birthday party packages at Discovery Space and The Rivet start at just $175 for Rivet yearly members ($200 for non-members), with options for up to 10 or 20 kids. With add-on activities like UV Resin Hair Clips and Vinyl Vibes Drawstring Bags, we have options for every crafty kid.
Private Classes
