What’s going on at The Rivet?
About
The Rivet is a makerspace, made just for you.
A 5,000 square foot community workshop, The Rivet was named to reflect our intention to connect materials, people, ideas, and the means for anyone to Make Anything. Think of it as Discovery Space’s very cool older sibling.
Community members can take advantage of open workshop hours and classes that teach technical skills, critical thinking, and iterative learning. Experimenting with machinery at The Rivet is not dependent on a two-year degree, tuition, or industry experience. We create accessibility by taking modern manufacturing and putting it into an informal learning environment.
Youth Programming
The Rivet at Discovery Space provides classes for youth ages 8-14.
Discovery Space
The Discovery Space Science Center has many more opportunities, including summer camps for kids of all ages.
